Our Role
The displacement settlements we serve in Bangladesh are among the densest in the world, and they sit in the path of cyclones and monsoon flooding. We upgrade shelters and water systems in these settlements and pre-position supplies before each storm season. Drainage is treated as protection work, because one blocked channel floods hundreds of shelters at once. Site volunteers maintain the water points and report damage, which is how repairs happen in days rather than weeks.
